Lake Charles, LA –
Early yesterday evening at approximately 4:15 p.m. Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to the area of Goodman Road and Opelousas Street in Lake Charles in reference to a possible body.
When deputies arrived, they observed a body on the side of the roadway, later identified as Larry J. Bushnell, 64, Lake Charles. After further investigation, it appears the injuries observed on the victim appear to be from a possible hit and run.
The investigation is continuing. The coroner will determine cause of death.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. A person is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
