The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating a hit and run that occurred on Tuesday, May 7, at approximately 9:00 a.m., at a convenience store located on Highway 27 in Sulphur.

During the investigation detectives were advised a truck pulled out from under the canopy located over the gas pumps, at which time a tractor located on the trailer behind the truck, hit the canopy and caused extensive damages.  The truck, described as a white Ford single cab one ton flatbed dually, was pulling a red flatbed gooseneck trailer with a yellow front end loader tractor with a backhoe attachment.  The truck left the store and headed northbound on Highway 27.
