CPSO ARRESTS MAN FOR ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF STOLEN THINGS

Lake Charles, LA –

 

On May 6, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a business on Goodman Road in Lake Charles in reference to a burglary.

           

During the initial investigation detectives learned the suspect cut a wire fence to gain access to the property.  Once on the property the suspect cut and removed grounding cables that contained copper wire. 

           

During an unrelated incident, detectives made contact with Mark A. Villarreal, 31, homeless, who confirmed the whereabouts of the stolen grounding cables.  Detectives were able to locate the cables at a residence on Goodman Road in Lake Charles. 

           

Villarreal was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with illegal possession of stolen property $1,000 to $5,000.  Judge Tony Fazzio set his bond at $6,500.   

           

The investigation is ongoing.
