CPSO ISSUES WARRANT FOR CONVICTED SEX OFFENDER FOR 1ST DEGREE RAPE

Lake Charles, LA –

On June 3, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office Special Victim’s Unit detectives issued a warrant for the arrest of convicted sex offender, Anthony D. Bruner, Sr., 37, Lake Charles, after an investigation revealed he was having inappropriate sexual contact with a girl under the age of 14, from January to April of 2022.

Bruner, who is currently incarcerated in the Tensas Detention Center for failure to register as a sex offender, is charged with 1st degree rape.  Judge Tony Fazzio set his bond at $750,000.

Bruner was convicted of indecent behavior with a juvenile in 2010 in Jefferson Davis Parish.  He was also convicted of failure to register as a sex offender in 2018, 2020, and again in 2023.

CPSO Detective Cory Myers is the lead investigator on this case.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged.   A person is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.

Note: There is no mugshot due to Bruner being in Tensas Parish.
