CPSO ARRESTS MAN FOR 1ST DEGREE RAPE

Lake Charles, LA –

 

On May 27 at approximately 11:30 p.m. Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a call at a residence in Sulphur in reference to a rape in progress of a girl under the age of 10.   

           

When deputies arrived on scene they observed the suspect, Randy M. Alston, 68, Sulphur, leaving the neighborhood in his truck.  He was stopped by deputies and after further investigation he was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with 1st degree rape.  Judge Ron Ware set his bond at $300,000. 

           

CPSO Detective Alexander Vincent is the lead investigator on this case. 

 

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged.   A person is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
