CPSO ARRESTS MAN FOR 2 COUNTS AGG BATTERY

Lake Charles, LA –

 

On May 7 at approximately 6:00 p.m., Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a home in Lake Charles in reference to a disturbance.

           

During the investigation, it was learned Dyllan M. Villa, 22, Lake Charles, was involved in a verbal altercation with a family member.  During the argument, Villa armed himself with a small knife and stabbed the victim in the chest.  Another family member was also cut by Villa during the incident. 

           

Villa was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with 2 counts of aggravated battery.  His bond is still pending.

           

Both victims sustained minor injuries and refused medical treatment.  

 

CPSO Deputy Spencer Biven is the arresting deputy on this case.  CPSO Detective Matthew Fast is the lead investigator on this case. 

 

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged.   A person is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
