CPSO ARRESTS SOUTHWEST LOUISIANA CHARTER ACADEMY STUDENT FOR THREAT

Lake Charles –

 

On Wednesday, May 3 at approximately 11:00 a.m. Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were notified in reference to a student who attends Southwest Louisiana Charter Academy making threats. 

           

During the initial investigation deputies learned a 13 year old boy made threatening comments about shooting up the school and shooting students at the school.  After further investigation the boy was arrested and booked into the Juvenile Detention Center and charged with terrorizing/menacing. 

           

CPSO Detective Clay Planchard is the lead investigator on this case. 

 

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged.   A person is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
