CPSO ARRESTS MAN FOR 2ND DEGREE KIDNAPPING

Lake Charles, LA –

 

On April 20, at approximately 8:00 p.m. Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a residence on Gateway Drive in reference to a disturbance. 

           

During the investigation, detectives learned Torrey C. Robinson, 45, Lake Charles, held the victim against her will for several hours while stabbing and battering her.

           

Robinson was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with battery of a dating partner with a dangerous weapon serious bodily injury; and 2nd degree kidnapping.  Judge Tony Fazzio ordered he be held without bond pending a hearing.  

           

The victim sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital. 

           

CPSO Deputy Jeffery Floyd is the arresting deputy on this case.  CPSO Detective Mika Miguez is the lead investigator on this case. 

 

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged.   A person is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
