Lake Charles –
On February 20 at approximately 4:00 p.m. Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies responded near the intersection of Gulf Highway and Lincoln Road in Lake Charles in reference to a motorcycle accident.
The investigation revealed the driver of the motorcycle, Kelly Bowman, 49, Lake Charles, was traveling eastbound on Lincoln Road approaching Gulf Highway, when the motorcycle exited the roadway and crashed for unknown reasons. He was transported to a local hospital, where he later died. Bowman was wearing a helmet.
Speed nor impairment is suspected but as mandated by state law toxicology testing will be performed.
