CPSO ARRESTS JUVENILE FOR BOMB THREAT

            On Monday, December 12, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to a call in reference to a Starks High School student that threatened to bomb a teacher’s home. 

            During the investigation, detectives learned that the 14 year old student made the threat during class.  The investigation also revealed that the juvenile student had not taken any actions to carry out the threat.  The juvenile was arrested and booked into the Juvenile Detention Center.  He is being charged with communicating false information of planned arson (bomb threat).

            CPSO Detective Roger Pete is the lead investigator on this case.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged.   A person is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
