CPSO ARRESTS MAN FOR TRAFFICKING OF CHILDREN FOR SEXUAL PURPOSES

Lake Charles, LA –

 

On September 13, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives received a complaint in reference to a juvenile that was being enticed to have sex in exchange for money.

           

During the investigation detectives learned Kentrell A. Knighten, 38, Lake Charles, sent lewd messages to the victim, who is under the age of 16, referencing a sex act and how much money she would be paid in exchange.   

           

Knighten was located and after speaking with detectives he was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with indecent behavior with juveniles; and trafficking of children for sexual purposes.  Judge Michael Canaday set his bond at $500,000.
