CPSO ARRESTS STUDENT FOR THREATS

 

 

Lake Charles –

 

           On Sunday, August 28, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a call regarding a student who attends Sulphur High School, making threats on social media, to shoot other students who also attend the school. 

            During the initial investigation detectives learned the 17 year old threatened to carry out the shooting on a specific day of the week, but did not specify if it would actually occur on school property.  After further investigation detectives interviewed the 17 year old and he was arrested and booked into the Juvenile Detention Center and charged with terrorizing. 

            CPSO Detective Roger Pete is the lead detective on this case. 

 

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged.   A person is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
