CALCASIEU PARISH SHERIFF’S OFFICE ARREST SAM HOUSTON HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT FOR THREAT

 Lake Charles –

 

On Friday, August 26, at approximately 5:30 p.m. the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office was notified in reference to a possible threat from a student that attends Sam Houston High School.

           

During the initial investigation detectives were advised a 14 year old juvenile sent several text messages threatening a school shooting. 

           

Detectives located the boy at his residence and after speaking with him he was arrested and booked into the Juvenile Detention Center and charged with terrorizing.

 

CPSO Detective Roger Pete is the lead investigator on the case.

 

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged.   A person is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
