CPSO ARRESTS MAN FOR 3RD DEGREE RAPE

Lake Charles, LA –

On April 13 Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives received a complaint in reference to a rape of a girl under the age of 17.

During the investigation the victim, who had previously been reported missing through LCPD, told detectives she had run away from home and was walking down the street when a man she did not know, later identified as Tony L. Mouton, 35, 2917 Cypress Street, Lake Charles, picked her up.  The victim advised detectives Mouton drove her to an abandoned trailer on Tousaint Road in Lake Charles, at which time they smoked marijuana and drank tequila.  The victim further stated during the night Mouton and her engaged in sexual intercourse and she left the trailer the next morning.  The victim was transported to a hospital where the examination revealed injuries consistent with her statement.

On April 14, detectives made contact with Mouton and while speaking with him he confirmed to detectives he picked the girl up and drove her to the trailer.  He also confirmed he smoked marijuana and drank tequila with the victim, but denied having sexual intercourse with her.  He was arrested and booked into Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with third degree rape.  Judge Tony Fazzio set his bond at $650,000.

CPSO Sr. Cpl Aaron Shelton and Deputy Dayton Laborde are the arresting deputies on this case.  CPSO Detective James Jones is the lead investigator on this case.
