CPSO ARRESTS CONVICTED SEX OFFENDER

Lake Charles, LA –

On March 9 at approximately 3:30 p.m. Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a local hospital in reference to an individual advising hospital personnel he wanted to turn himself in to law enforcement.

When deputies arrived they spoke with Israel J. Lachica, 67, homeless.  It was discovered Lachica, who is a registered sex offender, had been living in Calcasieu Parish and failed to notify local law enforcement, making him in violation of his sex offender registration requirements.
