Lake Charles, LA –
Last night at approximately 6:30 p.m. an inmate at the Calcasieu Correctional Center, Ray A. Lawrence, Jr., 47, Lake Charles, was found unresponsive in his single-man cell. Deputies immediately attempted to revive Lawrence, but he was later pronounced dead by emergency medical personnel.
The Calcasieu Coroner will determine cause of death, but foul play is not suspected.
