Lake Charles –
On Saturday December 21 the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office conducted a DWI checkpoint in the 600 block of North Perkins Ferry Road in Moss Bluff to target individuals driving under the influence of alcohol and/or narcotics.
Five hundred and sixty-two (562) vehicles were checked; four (4) field sobriety tests were administered; one (1) citation was issued for expired motor vehicle inspection sticker; and one (1) citation was issued for child restraint.
The following individuals were issued a signed summons and released:
· Christopher J. Benoit, 40, Moss Bluff, was arrested for DWI 1st
· Victoria F. Harrington, 20, Westlake, was arrested for DWI 1st and possession of marijuana
· Lane H. Nunez, 23, Moss Bluff, was arrested for DWI 1st
Participating in the checkpoint was the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office.
