CPSO ARRESTS STUDENT FOR GUN AT SAM HOUSTON HIGH SCHOOL

Friday, November 15 around 2:00 p.m. Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives were dispatched to Sam Houston High School after receiving a call that a 17 year old boy had a gun at school.  When detectives arrived they learned several students reported to school administrators that a 17 year old student had a gun tucked in the waistband of his pants.  Once the juvenile was in the principal’s office, the gun, a CO2-powered pellet pistol, was recovered and the student began fighting with the principal and the CPSO school resource officer.

           

The student was booked in the Juvenile Detention Center and charged with resisting arrest; and illegal carrying of a weapon in a firearm free zone.
