Lake Charles, LA –
On Thursday, September 5, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a shopping center in the 3000 block of Highway 14 in Lake Charles in reference to a possible dead body. When deputies arrived they located the body of a man behind the shopping center. During the initial investigation it was learned Lorenzo S. Green, 36, homeless, was responsible for the death of the man.
Green was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and has been charged with 2nd degree murder.
The victim has been identified as Tracy R. Byrne, 40, homeless and not native to Lake Charles,
The Calcasieu Coroner will determine cause of death.
