Tomorrow, August 13 Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies will be visiting all elementary schools in Calcasieu Parish to welcome students back on their first day of school. “This is something new we started this year to get kids excited about their first day,” stated Sheriff Tony Mancuso. “It is also a great way for kids to connect with deputies and build a positive relationship with law enforcement.”
The deputies will be at the school from 7:15 a.m. until school starts for the day.
