CPSO ARRESTS MAN FOR FAILURE 9 COUNTS OF FAILURE TO REGISTER AS A SEX OFFENDER & 1 COUNT OF FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH SEX OFFENDER ID REQUIREMENTS

On July 8 convicted sex offender Frederick A. Lemieux, 200 Teal Street, Lake Charles, was arrested after he failed to comply with his sex offender registration requirements. 

 

During an investigation detectives with the Calcasieu Parish Sex Offender Unit learned Lemieux failed to register with law enforcement on eight different occasions.  Detectives also learned he failed to pay his annual fees, as well as, acquire a sex offender identification card; making him in violation of his sex offender registration requirements. 

 

He was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with 9 counts of failure to register as a sex offender; and failure to comply with sex offender ID requirements.  Judge Guy Bradberry set his bond at $450,000.

 

Lemieux was convicted of 2 counts of indecent behavior with a juvenile and two counts of aggravated oral sexual battery in 1989 in Jefferson Parish.  He was later convicted of aggravated sexual battery and indecent behavior with a juvenile in 2013 in Jefferson Parish.
