CPSO ARRESTS WOMAN FOR CRUELTY TO JUVENILE

Lake Charles, LA –

 

On May 21 at approximately 9:00 p.m. a Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputy was dispatched to a home in Lake Charles in reference to a disturbance.

           

When the deputy arrived he spoke with witnesses in the area that stated they observed Tracy H. Chesson, 49, Lake Charles, pull her 10 year old son by the back of his neck and drag him across the yard.  When detectives spoke with Chesson she was intoxicated and uncooperative.  Detectives also observed red marks on the back of the victim’s neck.

           

Chesson was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with cruelty to juveniles.  Judge David Ritchie set her bond at $5,000.  Chesson also had two active warrants with an additional bond of $11,500.   

           

CPSO Deputy Barrett Savoie is the arresting deputy and CPSO Detective Monte Gentry is the lead investigator on this case.
