Lake Charles –
Earlier this morning at approximately 6:50 a.m. the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to a single vehicle accident on Hecker Road, near the intersection of Lalanne Road in Iowa.
The preliminary investigation revealed an 18 wheeler was traveling on Hecker Road when it went off the roadway in a curve. The truck then rolled over and caught on fire. The driver, James E. Johosky, Jr., 59, Welsh, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation is still continuing. As mandated by state law, a toxicology report will be conducted.
