CPSO ARRESTS MAN FOR FAILURE TO REGISTER AS SEX OFFENDER

Lake Charles –

 

On November 22 at approximately 12:00 a.m. Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted a stop on a car near the intersection of 11th Street and 4th Avenue in Lake Charles for a traffic violation.

 

Deputies made contact with the driver, Kenion M. Boutte, 20, 3309 S. General Wainwright Drive, Lake Charles, a registered sex offender, and learned he was in control of a vehicle that was not registered with law enforcement, making him in violation of his sex offender registration requirements.  After further investigation deputies also learned Boutte did not have a valid driver’s license. 

 

Boutte was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with failure to register as a sex offender; no turn signal; and driver must be licensed.  Judge David Ritchie set his bond at $51,600 with special conditions being he cannot be released until it is cleared by Probation & Parole.

 

Boutte was convicted of aggravated assault of a child in Houston, Texas in 2015.
