CPSO ARRESTS IOWA MAN FOR AGG CRIME AGAINST NATURE

On May 29 the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office received a complaint in reference to Ronald L. Fontenot, 60, 4385 Hecker Road, Iowa.  The investigation revealed Fontenot had inappropriate sexual contact with two young girls.  One of the victims advised the abuse started when she was four years old until 2016, when she was 12 years old.  After further investigation, on July 7 Judge Michael Canaday signed a warrant for Fontenot’s arrest in the amount of $700,000.  On July 11 he was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with 2 counts of aggravated crime against nature.

 

Prior to being terminated by Sheriff Tony Mancuso, Fontenot worked as a school crossing guard and had been with the department for approximately 1 year.
