CPSO ARRESTS SULPHUR MAN FOR AGGRAVATED CRIME AGAINST NATURE

Lake Charles, LA –

 

On June 19, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office received a complaint regarding Cody I. Bertrand, Sr., 29, Sulphur, having inappropriate sexual contact with an 8 year old female family member.  During the investigation the victim advised detectives that Bertrand inappropriately touched her while she slept during the night on June 18.

 

Later the same day when detectives spoke with Bertrand he confirmed the allegations against him.  He was arrested and booked in the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with aggravated crime against nature.  Judge Ronald Ware has set his bond at $20,000.
