Lake Charles –
On Saturday May 27 the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office conducted a DWI checkpoint in the 2900 block of Westwood Road in Westlake to target individuals not wearing their seatbelt or driving under the influence of alcohol and/or narcotics.
Eight hundred seventy (870) vehicles were checked; twelve (12) field sobriety tests were administered; two (2) citations were issued for no seatbelt; and two (2) citations were issued for driving under suspension.
The following individual was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center:
o Reagan N. Hastings, 20, Lake Charles, was arrested for possession of CDS II; and possession of marijuana 1st offense
The following individuals were issued a signed summons and released:
o Jimmy L. Monceaux, 44, Sulphur, was arrested for DWI; and open container
o Garrett Prunty, 26, Sulphur, was arrested for possession of marijuana 1st offense
o Jeremy A. Bourque, 27, Ragley, was arrested for possession of marijuana 1st offense
o John A. Billot, 42, Ragley, was arrested for possession of marijuana 1st offense; and open container
