CPSO CHARGES LAKE CHARLES MAN WITH MANSLAUGHTER

Lake Charles –

 

On April 24 at approximately 12:30 a.m. Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a home on Mark LeBleu Road in Lake Charles in reference to an aggravated battery.  Upon arrival deputies spoke with the victim, Danny Lejeune, 53, Lake Charles, who told them while he was working on his truck outside of his home, an acquaintance, Lucas J. Vincent, 36, Lake Charles, unexpectedly walked up to him and struck him in the head with an unknown object and then fled.  Lejeune was transported to a local hospital, where he was admitted into the ICU.

 

Later the same day deputies located Vincent at a local casino and after further investigation he was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with aggravated second degree battery. 

 

On May 4 detectives learned Lejeune died from his injuries.  The following day detectives upgraded Vincent’s charges from aggravated second degree battery to manslaughter.  Judge Robert Wyatt signed the warrant in the amount of $250,000.
