CPSO ARRESTS DEQUINCY MAN FOR 1ST DEGREE RAPE

Lake Charles, LA –

On December 14 the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office received a complaint regarding Leon Price, Jr., 45, 1699 Highway 12, DeQuincy, having inappropriate sexual contact with an 11 year old girl, who was a family acquaintance.  The victim advised detectives the incident happened in September 2016.

On April 6 after further investigation, Judge Clayton Davis signed a warrant in the amount of $1 million for Price’s arrest.  On April 7, with the assistance of the Beauregard Parish Sheriff’s Office, detectives located Price at his residence.  He was arrested and booked into the Beauregard Parish Jail and later transported to the Calcasieu Correctional Center.  Price is charged with 1st degree rape.

The investigation is continuing and more charges are possible.

CPSO Detective Lt. Brent Young is the lead investigator on this case.
