Lake Charles, LA –
On February 9 the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office Vice Detectives, CPSO Computer Forensics Detectives, CPSO Combined Anti-Drug Task Force, Louisiana State Police, ICE Homeland Security Investigations, Louisiana Alcohol Tobacco Control, and the Federal Bureau of Investigations executed a search warrant at Club Cabaret, located at 3801 Highway 90 in Westlake. The search warrant was a result of numerous complaints of prostitution, alcohol compliance issues, illegal narcotics activity, and theft taking place at the club.
The following three (3) people were arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center:
· Rene O. Diaz, 33, 417 Cody Street, Sulphur
Possession of CDS I (Ecstasy) with intent; possession of CDS II (Cocaine); possession of drug paraphernalia; failure to obtain sex offender ID card
Judge Sharon Wilson set bond at $12,000
· Derek L. Williams, 27, 2514 Cox Road, Westlake
Possession of CDS II (Cocaine)
Judge Sharon Wilson set bond at $3,000
· Jonathan J. Mejia, 33, 1012 Cass Street, Sulphur
Possession of CDS II (Cocaine)
Judge Sharon Wilson set bond at $3,000
The following person was issued a summons for felony and misdemeanor charges and was released due to health conditions:
· Brittany R. Dunaway, 28, Sulphur
Possession of CDS II (methamphetamine); possession of drug paraphernalia; and no parish bar card
The following eleven (11) people were arrested and released on a misdemeanor summons:
· Bradford H. Daniels, 44, Lake Charles
Possession of marijuana
