CPSO Arrests 2 More & Issue Warrant for 1 in Connection with Shooting in Moss Bluff

In conjunction with the arrests of Austin J. Jones, Deante J. Shuffer, Christopher W. Jones, and Ayana Johnson in the shooting that took place on November 30 in the 3600 block of North Perkins Ferry Road in Moss Bluff, detectives have learned of 2 more people responsible.

 

With the investigation continuing after the shooting, detectives learned Gavin D. Daigle, 17, 1021 Belfield Drive, Moss Bluff, assisted in the planning and execution of the armed robbery.  Detectives learned that Daigle provided details about the victim to the suspects to aid them in the armed robbery. 

 

After viewing surveillance footage detectives were able to identify the driver of the vehicle used during the armed robbery as Kendrick K. Yaw, 19, 1905 Channel Street, Lake Charles.   

 

On December 13 detectives located Daigle at his place of employment.  On the following day detectives located Yaw at his residence.  When detectives spoke with Yaw he confirmed his involvement in the armed robbery.  They were both arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Parish Correctional Center.  Daigle is charged with conspiracy to attempted 1st degree murder; and conspiracy to armed robbery, Judge Clayton Davis set his bond at $750,000.  Yaw is charged with attempted 1st degree murder; armed robbery; and armed robbery with the use of a firearm, Judge Clayton Davis set his bond at $1.2 million.

 

Detectives have also issued a warrant for Jazmine Washington, 21, Sulphur for her connection in the shooting.  Detectives learned Washington aided one of the suspects in evading arrest.  It was also discovered Washington knowingly provided detectives with false information about the incident.  Washington is being charged with accessory after the fact of attempted 1st degree murder; and accessory after the fact of armed robbery, Judge Clayton Davis signed her warrant in the amount of $75,000.  Detectives attempted to locate Washington, but were unsuccessful. 

 

The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for assistance in locating Washington.  If anyone knows of her whereabouts, please call the lead

The investigation is continuing.
