CPSO ARRESTS 2 FOR FAILURE TO REGISTER OR NOTIFY AS A SEX OFFENDER

Lake Charles –

 

On November 10 at approximately 2:50 p.m., Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a trespassing complaint at a home on Seminole Drive in Moss Bluff.  When deputies arrived at the home they located Jessie D. Bolden, 50, Deridder, on the property without the owner’s permission.  When they spoke with Bolden, a registered sex offender who was convicted of molestation of a juvenile in Beauregard Parish, they discovered he did not possess his sex offender ID Card which is required by law for all registered sex offenders.        

              

Bolden was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with failure to register as a sex offender; and criminal trespassing.  He was released the next day on a $1,500 bond set by Judge Sharon Wilson.

 

Deputy Erroll Williams Jr. is the arresting deputy on this case. 

 

 

On November 10 at approximately 8:40 p.m. Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a shoplifting complaint at a grocery store on Nelson Road in Lake Charles.  During their investigation deputies learned David P. Cavalier Jr., 32, Ragley, drove the suspect in the shoplifting complaint to the store.  When deputies spoke with Cavalier, a registered sex offender who was convicted of carnal knowledge of a juvenile in Lafourche Parish, they learned he was driving a vehicle that was not registered with law enforcement, making him in violation of his sex offender registration requirements.  Cavalier was also not in possession of his sex offender ID Card which is required by law for all registered sex offenders.      

                 

Cavalier was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with 2 counts of failure to register as a sex offender.  Judge Sharon Wilson set his bond at $4,000.
