Earlier this morning at approximately 2:15 a.m., Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted a stop near White Road and Theriot Road in Lake Charles for a traffic violation.
When deputies spoke with the driver, Raymond J. Predium, Jr., 52, 1356 Georgia St., Lake Charles, a registered sex offender who was convicted of aggravated crime against nature and indecent behavior with a juvenile in Calcasieu Parish in 1998.
Deputies learned he was in control of a vehicle that was not registered with law enforcement, making him in violation of his sex offender registration requirements.
Predium was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with failure to register as a sex offender; and stop lamps and turn signals required. Judge Clayton Davis set his bond at $1,100.
CPSO Deputy Tyler Jones was the arresting deputy on this case.
