The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating a theft of a utility trailer from a residence on Carl Lyons Road in Sulphur which occurred yesterday at approximately 12:50 p.m. Deputies obtained video surveillance footage from the homeowner which shows a red Dodge extended cab pickup truck pull into the driveway and a middle aged man wearing a blue shirt and jeans exits the truck and walks up to the residence and knocks on the door. The suspect then proceeds to clip the lock on the trailer and attach the trailer to the Dodge truck. The video footage shows the suspect leaving the residence with the trailer at approximately 1:00 p.m.
The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for assistance. If anyone recognizes the truck or the individual in the video or has any information about this incident, please call the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office at 491-3605 or Crime Stoppers at 439-2222.
