Lake Charles –
Late last night, at approximately 10:30 p.m., Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a home on Dahlia Lane in Sulphur. The complainant advised deputies that Kenneth Bacque’ Jr., 59, posted on Facebook that he was going to kill himself and may also harm his 4 year old son, who was at the home with him.
Upon arrival deputies attempted to make contact with Bacque’ but were unsuccessful. Deputies then forced entry into the home and located Bacque’ along with his son in a bedroom who were pronounced dead at the scene from apparent gunshot wounds.
The investigation is in the preliminary stages but it appears Bacque’ shot his son and then shot himself.
