The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office held their Annual Law Enforcement Awards Ceremony on Thursday, May 12. Awards were given to the following deputies for their outstanding accomplishments and service to the Sheriff’s Office in 2015 in their respective divisions:
Deputy of the Year:
Cpl. Donald Shillow Jr. – Enforcement Division
Kara Thompson –Security Enforcement Division
Sgt. Beth McGee – Investigations Division
Angela DeMary – Programs Division
Carolyn Derouen – Financial Division
Wendell Carroll – Civil & Law Enforcement Centers Division
Sgt. Finn Carlton - Correctional Division
Sr. Cpl. Sandra Gibson – Special Services Division
Sr. Cpl. Sandra Gibson was also chosen as “2015 Deputy of the Year” for the entire Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office. LiAna Gray of the Financial Division was chosen as “Support Employee of the Year.” The “Eric Bellard Pride Award” was given to Sgt. Freddy Powell.
