 Lake Charles –

Last night at approximately 10:25 p.m. the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to a call regarding a shooting on Eastern Meadows Drive in Moss Bluff. Once they arrived, witnesses advised deputies that Donald D. Trahan, Jr., 32, Moss Bluff, was involved in an altercation with his girlfriend when Michael A. Domingue, 30, 1131 Eastern Meadows Dr., Lot 68, an acquaintance, tried to intervene. Witnesses stated Domingue produced a handgun and shot Trahan. After being shot Trahan left the residence in a vehicle with several other people. One of the occupants of the vehicle contacted 911 and was advised to meet an ambulance at the intersection of Highway 171 and Highway 378. Trahan was then transported to a local hospital by ambulance where he later died as a result of the gunshot wound he sustained.

Domingue was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with manslaughter. His bond is still pending.
