CPSO ARRESTS SULPHUR MAN FOR AGGRAVATED RAPE

Lake Charles, LA –

 

On December 16 Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a call in reference to the sexual assault of a 9 year old girl. During the investigation it was learned that a family acquaintance, Roger D. Fruge, 63, 1122 W. Verdine Street #108, Sulphur, had inappropriate sexual contact with the child. The complainant advised detectives she walked in her bedroom and witnessed Fruge sexually assaulting the girl. The victim told detectives the inappropriate sexual contact occurred twice at the home in Sulphur and she said it also happened when they lived in Missouri.

 

After further investigation on February 11 Fruge was arrested and booked into Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with aggravated rape.

 

Judge Clayton Davis set his bond at $1,000,000.
