CPSO ARRESTS WOMAN FOR THEFT FROM EMPLOYER

Lake Charles –

On January 6 Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to Rabideaux’s Sausage Kitchen in Iowa in reference to a theft. Upon arrival deputies spoke with the manager who stated there was three meat processing orders that had been paid for and picked up by the customers but the money was missing. The manager advised deputies that they spoke with all the employees but no one admitted to taking the money.

During further investigation it was revealed that Emily N. Fontenot, 32, 207 Love Street, Welsh, had initialed the paperwork stating that she completed all three orders. When detectives spoke with Fontenot she denied taking the money and agreed to take a polygraph test. On February 10 before Fontenot began her scheduled polygraph test she confirmed she took the money from all three orders, which totaled approximately $1,031.

Fontenot was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with theft $750 to $5,000. She was released later the same day on a $3,000 bond set by Judge Sharon Wilson.

CPSO Detective Roy Pesson is the lead investigator on this case.
