CPSO ARRESTS DEQUINCY MAN FOR FALSE IMPRISONMENT WITH A DANGEROUS WEAPON AND AGGRAVATED BATTERY

Upon arrival the victim, who was hiding outside of the house in the bushes, advised deputies that McCarty, who was intoxicated, had beaten her with the wooden stock of a shotgun. She also told deputies that McCarty beat her in the face, back of the head, back and in the ribs while telling her she wasn’t leaving the house. The victim stated that McCarty then loaded the shotgun and told her to walk out of the front door, but stated that he would shoot any deputies that came to the house.

McCarty was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with aggravated battery; and false imprisonment with a dangerous weapon.

Judge Sharon Wilson set his bond at $200,000.
