Lake Charles –
Yesterday afternoon around 2:00 while working as a trusty at a local business on Highway 1256 in Sulphur, Calcasieu Correctional Center inmate Brandon Scott Guidry, 31, left the job. Guidry qualified to be a trusty due to his non-violent offender status.
Detectives learned through their investigation that he was at a residence located at 1411 Clarence Street Apt. C 10, in Westlake. He was located at approximately 4:30 the same day and was taken into custody.
Guidry has been incarcerated since April 2014 and is being held for possession of stolen property and simple burglary. Guidry is now being charged with simple escape.
