On Thursday, April 30, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office will be conducting a seatbelt checkpoint at an undisclosed location in the parish.
This checkpoint will target individuals who are not wearing their seatbelt. Louisiana law mandates that all passengers in a vehicle are to be buckled up, even those in the back seat.
These checkpoints are funded by the Louisiana Highway Safety Commission.
