CPSO ARRESTS WOMAN & JUVENILE FOR SIMPLE BATTERY

Lake Charles, LA –

 

On February 15, at approximately 8:00 a.m. Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives were dispatched to Washington Marion High School in reference to a simple battery.

 

During the investigation, it was discovered a 13 year old student and her mother, Precious Obrien, 34, Lake Charles, located another student, who was in class, and committed a battery on her. 

 

The suspects were later located and placed under arrest.  Obrien was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with unlawful disruption of school operations; contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile; and simple battery.  The juvenile was issued a misdemeanor summons for simple battery.  

           

The Calcasieu Parish School Board assisted in the investigation.    CPSO Detective Mika Miguez is the lead investigator on this case. 

 

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged.   A person is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
