Lake Charles –
On December 11, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were notified in reference to a student who attends Lake Charles Charter Academy making a threat during school.
During the initial investigation deputies learned a 13 year old girl made threats of blowing up the school in the presence of a teacher and other students. After further investigation she was arrested and booked into the Juvenile Detention Center and charged with menacing.
CPSO Detective Mika Miguez is the lead investigator on this case.
An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. A person is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
