CPSO ARRESTS MOSS BLUFF MIDDLE STUDENT FOR THREAT

 

Lake Charles –

 

On September 27 at approximately 8:00 p.m. Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were notified in reference to a student who attends Moss Bluff Middle School making a threat earlier in the day, during school. 

           

During the initial investigation deputies learned an 11 year old boy told another student not to go to school the following day because he was going to blow up the school.  After further investigation detectives located the boy at his residence.  After being interviewed with a guardian present, he was arrested and booked into the Juvenile Detention Center and charged with menacing. 

          

CPSO Detective Cody Ferguson is the lead investigator on this case.  The Calcasieu Parish School Board assisted in the investigation. 

 

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged.   A person is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
