CPSO ARRESTS MAN FOR B&T & SEARCHING FOR 2ND SUSPECT

Lake Charles, LA –

 

On March 21 Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a local elementary school in Lake Charles in reference to a burglary and theft.

           

During the initial investigation detectives learned two unknown individuals gained entry into the school by breaking a window the previous day during the early morning hours.  Once inside the suspects stole a wet vac, floor scrubber, backpack blower, weed eater, and an unknown amount of tissue boxes.

           

After further investigation detectives were able to identify one of the suspects as Nicholas L. Dominique, 43, 2918 8th Street, Lake Charles.  On March 24 detectives spoke with Dominique at which time he confirmed he was responsible for the burglary and theft.  He was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with simple burglary; simple criminal damage to property; and theft $1,000 to $5,000.  Judge Tony Fazzio set his bond at $56,000.

           

The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for assistance in identifying the second suspect, who is seen in the photographs.  Anyone with any information regarding this theft is asked to call CPSO at 491-3605.
