The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating a hit and run that took place on Wednesday, June 6 at approximately 10:00 p.m. on W. Dave Dugas Rd. near Frey Rd. in Sulphur.
Based on witness statements and evidence found at the scene, it was learned that the driver of a white Dodge pick-up truck struck a man riding an electric skateboard in the road then left the scene. It is missing the driver’s side mirror and may have damage to the front left quarter panel and windshield area.
The victim was taken to a local hospital where he was treated for minor injuries and released.
The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for assistance. If anyone has any information about this hit and run accident, please call the lead investigator, Sgt. Bryan Guth at 491-3846.
