The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office held their Annual Law Enforcement Awards Ceremony on Thursday, May 17.
Awards were given to the following deputies for their outstanding accomplishments and service to the Sheriff’s Office in 2017 in their respective divisions:
Deputy of the Year:
Carmen Green – Programs Division
Julie Fontenot – Investigations Division
Sgt. Bryan Guth – Enforcement Division
Ernest Mitchel – Civil & Law Enforcement Centers Division
Linda January - Correctional Division
James “Trey” Thomas – Special Services Division
Jared “Scotty” Derouen – Financial Division
Taryn Soileau –Security Enforcement Division
Sgt. Bryan Guth was also chosen as “2017 Deputy of the Year” for the entire Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office. Tonya Thibodeaux was chosen as “Support Employee of the Year.” The “Eric Bellard Pride Award” was given to Sgt. Casey Lafargue. Lt. Rusty Broussard, Gennie Paris and Kayla Vincent were awarded the “Volunteer of The Year Award.”
