Interacts with and supports all other divisions within the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office
Communicates and cooperates with prosecutors to provide evidence for criminal prosecutions
Establishes an open, honest, and informative dialogue with victims and survivors of crime
Detectives are available on a 24 hour a day / 7 days a week call-out schedule
Cooperates and assists other agencies as needed in matters of mutual concern
Criminal Investigation Division
The Criminal Investigation Division is divided into investigative sections:
Chief of Detectives: Captain Lionel Alamond
Property Crimes- Supervisor - Lt. Rick Burrell
These include crimes which involve destruction, misappropriation and unauthorized use of property
Crimes Against Persons- Supervisor- Lt. Les Blanchard
These include crimes involving felony assault, homicide and domestic violence
Sex Crimes Division Supervisor - Lt. Elizabeth Zaunbrecher
This section investigates offenses involving adult sexual assault and sexual exploitation of children
Juvenile Crimes - Supervisor - Sgt. Gerald Thomas These include crimes involving juveniles
